RK3566 Embedded Terminal and BSP Adaptation | Obeita
This configuration is proposed for assessment. Confirm interfaces, components and performance for your specific project.

Develop a thin touch terminal around RK3566, 4 GB LPDDR4 and 32 GB eMMC. This board direction prioritises a compact display product and FPC-connected peripherals, rather than exposing every interface available on the SoC.
Compact carrier and interface choices
USB, I2C, SPI, microphone and speaker signals are brought to a 40-pin FPC. AP6212 supplies Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the RK809 codec provides the headphone audio path. Ethernet, eDP and HDMI are not brought out in this layout, so applications requiring those connections need a board revision rather than a software setting.
Panel-specific BSP adaptation
The MIPI display and touch connectors are selected for a particular panel. Porting requires its pinout, timing and touch-controller driver, followed by boot and suspend/resume checks. The compact layout uses fine-pitch parts and a six-layer board approach, making assembly quality and DDR validation important parts of bring-up.
Expansion items remain separate
A camera connector was considered for an OV2640-class sensor, but a connector is not validated imaging support. Cellular/GNSS expansion, battery power and IP5209 power-transition behaviour require additional hardware and software work. Obeita can separate a display/BSP task from a later portable-terminal revision to keep the first milestone measurable.

Project questions
Can HDMI be enabled by changing Android settings?
Not on a board where HDMI is not routed. Review a carrier revision or use the selected MIPI panel.
Is battery removal behaviour already established?
No. Power-path continuity and charge/discharge transitions require measurements on the assembled board before a portable product specification is agreed.
