Multi-interface IoT Gateway Integration | Obeita
This configuration is proposed for assessment. Confirm interfaces, components and performance for your specific project.

Aggregate two RS485 networks and a local sub-GHz radio path on an STM32F407 gateway, then connect to a server over Ethernet, Cat.1 cellular or Wi-Fi. The architecture separates field acquisition, data validation, cloud adaptation and management so each interface has a defined role.
Device addressing and cloud adaptation
Modbus RTU collection and radio-node traffic must retain the identity of the originating device. The processing layer checks and parses data before upload, avoiding ambiguous payloads from multiple sources. Cloud adapters can translate this model to the selected platform, while downstream commands need explicit device addressing and an acknowledgement policy.
Commissioning and remote management
A host configuration tool can hold Wi-Fi settings, uplink selection and cloud registration parameters. Firmware work includes how those settings are stored and recovered. OTA is part of the intended management workflow, with image checks and recovery from interrupted updates defined before remote deployment.
Power domains and RS485 protection
The power tree uses a 6–28 V input direction, a 5 V stage, separate 3.3 V supplies for logic/peripherals and a 3.9 V cellular rail. RS485 paths combine SP3072EEN transceivers, TVS devices and gas discharge protection. Component selection is a design input; a system surge rating requires a defined waveform, wiring arrangement and test report.
Proposed design configuration
These are configuration inputs for development; the final assembly, firmware and acceptance tests define the delivered specification.

Project questions
Can one cloud command address a specific radio or RS485 device?
Yes as a design scope, but the payload must include a device identity and an agreed routing rule. Test both the command and its acknowledgement.
Can a TVS and discharge tube prove a 10 kV rating?
No. Protection components do not establish the immunity of the assembled gateway. A product-level test is required.
